Entry and Exit Documents Can be Applied Across the Country
From April 1, 2019, the National Immigration Administration officially implemented that the entry and exit documents can be applied all over the country, which means Chinese mainland residents can apply for entry and exit documents such as passports of the People's Republic of China, travel permits between Hong Kong and Macao, and travel permits to and from Taiwan at any entry and exit management office in China. The application procedures are the same as in the household registration places. It takes 7 working days for local residents to apply for documents, and 20 natural days for residents from other provinces to apply for documents.
According to the statistics of the China National Immigration Administration, on April 1, 2019, China accepted a total of 77,000 applications to apply for entry and exit documents and travel to and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Among them, there are 22,000 ordinary passports, 18,000 travel permits to and from Hong Kong and Macao, 6,000 travel permits to and from Taiwan, and 31,000 group tour endorsements to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
