And most outbound tourists were still the post-80s who have the wealth and health, accounting for 29% of the total. Also, the post-90s all turned into adult and surpassed post-70s becoming the second largest outbound tourists group. In 2018, post-90s tourists accounted for 18% of the total, one percentage point higher than the post-70s. The number of post-00s tourists ranked fourth, accounting for 13% of the total.
I also found that Chengdu appeared in this big data report, ranking as one of the "20 Outbound Tourism Departure Cities before 2018 Spring Festival", closely following Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou. By December 31, 2018, Chengdu has opened 114 international (regional) routes, including 62 direct international flights, and the route network covers all five continents. On April 30, Sichuan Airlines will open a regular round-trip flight from Chengdu to Istanbul, Turkey. It plans to open two international direct flights from Chengdu to Rome, Italy and Helsinki, Finland in June and August this year. With the simplification of exit procedures and the opening of direct flights to the world, more and more Chengdu people can easily make quick plans to go out and see the "big and wonderful world."
