6th China-South Asia International Culture Forum

  On December 18, 2017, the 6th China-South Asia International Culture Forum was successfully held in Chengdu. The China-South Asia International Culture Forum, created by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and a number of South Asian academic institutions, is an international cooperation platform dedicated to promoting strengthened cultural interactions and academic interchanges between China and South Asian nations. The annual forum  alternates between China and the various South Asian countries. This year’s forum, which spanned two days, brought together experts from China, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan and Nepal to discuss topics such as "establishment of China-South Asia cultural exchange mechanism," "China-South Asia education and media collaborations" and "China-South Asia cultural and religious exchanges". Participants also visited Daci Temple and the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.
