Frequency of Non-Stop Flight between Chengdu and Addis Ababa will Rise to Four Departures Per Week Beginning on December 11, 2017
Chengdu Daily | release time：December 11th,2017
Beginning on December 11, 2017, Ethiopian Airlines' service to Chengdu will add another flight to the schedule and bring the total to four departures every week. On May 22, 2017, Ethiopian Airlines began operation of its non-stop flight between Chengdu and Addis Ababa, which is the second direct connection between Chengdu and Africa after the route to Mauritius, as well as Chengdu's first non-stop service to continental Africa. For the first quarter of operation since coming into service, 100% of the flights have been flown and total number of passengers transported amounts to about 14,000. This increase in frequency of flight to Chengdu will also bolster linkage between Africa and the Sichuan capital, which will improve flexibility for Chengdu travelers in selecting flights to Addis Ababa. After departing from Chengdu, travelers can also capitalize on Ethiopian Airlines' route network and transfer from Addis Ababa to more than 50 other destinations on continental Africa.
