On January 24, 2018, the foreign trade scorecard for the Chengdu Hi-Tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone was officially revealed. In 2017, the Chengdu Hi-Tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone recorded total trade of RMB 238.1 billion (excluding Shuangliu Industrial Park), rocketing by 51% compared with last year and accounting for 52% of total foreign trade of Sichuan Province. Of which, export was pegged at RMB 120.6 billion, a year-on-year surge of 60% and constituting 48% of total foreign export of the whole of Sichuan, while import reached RMB 117.5 billion, soaring by 44% against last year and making up 57% of total foreign import of the entire Province. Sichuan has capitalized on the strategy of establishing mainland pilot free trade zones by prolifically committing efforts to forging open-type economic and industrial parks that feature integrated development from advanced manufacturing and modern services. By 2020, the Chengdu Hi-Tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone will strive to climb onto a new echelon in industrial scale, and help fuel the formation of a National Central City core development pole and trillion-yuan international innovation and creativity center in the Chengdu Hi-Tech Development Zone.
